    C3 3:36 Pinion Gear

    I'm trying to confirm whether GM 3864614 3:36 pinion gear is a Corvette application or not.My books identify Corvette 3:36 pinion as 3885942.

      Yes, GM #3864614 is a Corvette pinion gear. It was used for 1965-66 Corvettes with 3.36:1 ratio. Functionally, it is the same as the 3885942 which came along in 1967 and was used right through 1979. However, I don't recommend interchanging pinion gears with ring gears that they were not originally mated to.
