    C3 BB Plug Wire Grounding.

I have a 68 427 that was put away by the original owner in 1973. Around 1990 it was discovered, not by me. The guy who found it took a lot of pictures before he pulled it out of the garage. One picture shows the plug wires grounded individually, not in pairs. I'm assumming in the 5 years the original owner had it on the road, somebody changed the wires or had the valve covers off and put them back that way. The TM&JG, and every picture of others I've seen has them grounded in pairs. I don't have the AIM. Was the pair grounding called out in the AIM?

    Just curious.

    Rich:

Heck of a good question! I checked my 68 AIM and I can't find anything showing or describing grounding details for plug wires on big blocks. I grounded mine just like the photos in various books illustrate. I must admit that I never thought to check the AIM!

There's not much on the shielding either.
