    67 Brake problem

Still having problems with the power brakes on my 67. The car had sat for about 18 months when I bought it and I had to put new seals in the front SS-sleeved calipers in order to correct the "brake pull to one side". Once this was completed and the calipers were bled (with a "mighty-vac" unit), the brake pull is corrected, but now the brake pedal goes about 2/3 of the way down before engaging the brakes. During this downward motion, there is a loud vacuum release sound (just like a large truck when its air brakes are released) and then suddenly the brakes engage. From those of you who may have experienced this, does it sound as if the vacuum booster will need a rebuild? If so, who "sets the standard" for the Corvette hobby? Thanks in advance for your help. I had a similar problem when my master cylinder bore was corroded.
