    64 Breather tube

    Did some 300hp 64 Corvetts come with the breather tube that runs around and down the side of the bell housing? My early 64(#4013) has this configuration. also, the underside of the air filter does not have the fitting to connect to a breather. It looks like the 63.

    No, the closed crankcase system was a federal (government) mandate.

      My early 64, built approx 1400 units before your 64, has the fully closed system. Looks like Bubba's been sneaking around while you're at work.

        63 and 64 engines have completely different PCV design architectures. The AIMs and shop manuals have the details on how they are configured.
