Which keys are correct for a 1967 Corvette. When I bought my car it came with two sets of keys. A small profile key set,(hex head and round head), and a large set like the newer 1970's cars, (square head and round head). I have seen on ebabe the keys for 1966 or ealier are the small type and the larger keys are for 1967 and later. Which is correct? I'm just a little confused. My AIM shows hex and round head keys.

Re: C2 Keys
Keys for '67 and '68 are unique. The basic style is that of '66 and earlier vs. '69 and later. What makes them unique is they incorporated keyway encoding in addition to the cuts for positioning lock tumblers. At the top of the shank (near the head of the key) you'll find a keyway encoding emboss (A/B for the two keys used in '67 and C/D for the '68 keys). This is why your 'extra' keys are off the later style with large heads; keyway encoding continued after '69 with the sequence changing each year over a 5-year rotation.
The encoding of the keyway prevents an incorrect key blank from being inserted into the lock. So, '67 and '68 owners have the additional 'challenge' of finding the 2-year only form of factory original keys to complete their restorations (early/small head style but with encoded keyways similar to late/large head keys).- Top

Ralph - In addition to the excellent information, you have received from Responses on the DB, you will find key configuration information in two resources you probably have. The 67 Corvette owner's manual (p. 6, 1st Ed) shows the keys and 1967 Chassis Service Manual, General Information (pp. O-4 to O-7) KEYS AND LOCKS provides even more detailed information on key configuations and key servicing.
