A few days ago I posted a question on fan clutches. Jack Humphrey gave a nice tutorial on the subject. When looking through the catalogues, I discovered that there is only one listed and it's shown as 60-70 "all". Can I (should I)use one of these on my BB, correct fan, driver?

Re: Fan Clutch Again
John-----
The part of which you speak, GM #3916141, is VERY close in configuration to the fan clutch originally installed on your car. Unfortunately, I believe that the GM #3916141 has been recently discontinued. It still shows as available in the GM parts system, but I think that if you order one it will come back as "discontinued". This piece has been in the GM parts system for 36 years; nothing lasts forever. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Fan Clutch Again
John,
Why not try Fred Oliva for your fan clutch? His ad is on page 27 of the latest Driveline. He not only restores fan clutches, but sells them when they are available.
