C1 Fuel pump fitting question

I have teh incorrect fuel pump and will be searching for one but I have a question about the inlet to rubber hose fitting.

Mine is a hex type where I see in Paragon and others a square type.

Which is correct?

What do you have for a fuel pump now? If it is the rebuildable one, the 3 piece one, the one with the 10 or so cap screws holding it together, you can unscrew the bottom, and rotate it to the correct 4656 inlet and outlet positions. That way, you can use the correct fuel lines while you look for the correct pump.

It came out of the car so they must have already rotated it. But then again maybe not. I will have to check when I put it back in.thanks
