'63 Fuel Pump Question

I may have found a replacement for the non-original fuel pump on my car.

The number stamped on the flange is "4657KE". I see from the judging manual that the number should be "4657". Is this difference acceptable?

The "AC" is on the top and bottom.

4657DE here... It is not the original pump, but is suppose to be a rebuilt original.

jack: "loose" the 4657KE on which ever flange the rebuilder elected to stamp it in(a ballpeen hammer to fill the stamping scars as much as possible followed by sanding away the faint restamp #'s with progressivly finer grit paper till the reworked flange can be lightly blasted with glass beads then restamp the flange with the 4657 on the flange that is superior and foreward( the flange the judges can see the easiest) mike

Mike,

Does that mean that all 63's 4657 pumps should have no suffix at all? In my case, the 4657DE, is a rebuilt unit I Purchased. If incorrect, it's still within a timeframe I can return it and get the correct one elsewhere.
