Seat Adjustment 68-72

Anyone game to count the number of atops on the seat adjustment for 1968 to 1972? Please count the furthest back point and the furthest forward point. Strange as it seems, I have got reports of from 5 to 7 stops.

And yes I looked through the AIMS and the part numbers for the seat tracks are the same.

My 70 (July 20 build date) has 7 stops on each seat.

Hello Terry, my base engine std interior 70 (B05) has 5 stops. I can go further front and back but without locking it. All my best from Argentina Roberto NCRS #30019 RMC

My 70 has 7 stops and is a deluxe leather interior. It also locks at furthest and closest settings. Based on Roberto Luis' response, maybe leather seats had 7 stops while standard vinyl set had 5 stops. Otherwise, maybe there was a running change in 1970. My 70 has a G20 build date.

Well, I checked it again, passenger seat has 7 stops, with normal lock in the extreme positions. Driver has some problem at the front and I can't lock it in the outermost stop. With effort I was able to lock in the back position. So, sorry for confusion I could have induced, there are 7 stops in my car. Perhaps that was the problem with others who mentioned 5 stops. Some difficulty in the extreme positions as I have. Best from Argentina Roberto NCRS #30019 RMC

My '69 with it's original black leather interior (402) has 7 stops on each seat. Also, my car is an early '69, built in October '68 (C08) and has '68 style seats without the chrome seat belt clips on the fronts of the seats. Looks like a consensus is being reached that they all had 7 stops.
