1961 270HP engine rebuild

I am currently in the process of a frame-off on my 1961. The car is completely disassembled and I am now turning my attention to the engine. The 270HP engine was running fine, but with 128,000 miles on the engine I felt it was time for a rebuild. Can anyone recommend a good supplier that has knowledge of this engine? I would like to rebuild it stock with the correct parts.

If you're not a member of a local NCRS chapter, this IS the time to join and get active! Those who live near you know who does what in your neck of the woods and the pittance you pay for an annual chapter membership should return dividends in SPADES with your project.... You can use this website (CONTACTS) to review what chapters are located where and get in touch.

On engine rebuilds there is a BIG difference in machine shop work, key decisions to be made on what tolerance target you're going to hold (balance) and a myriad tricks to 'detailing' the engine for factory concours judging. Get advice (as you're doing now) from those who've been there, done that, got the T-shirt before you swing into action.
