C1-3 Emergency Repair, Stud replacement

Hi everyone this is my first posting. Have a 1980 needs emergency repair and a stud replaced. Does the spindal have to be removed from the trailling arm or can these items be repaired without? Also would like to know where to obtain the tool for tightning an ignition switch nut on a C1 - 1961? Thanks CJ Member 20074

If you remove the emergency brake, you MIGHT be able to replace the stud. I think removing the spindle would probably be easier.

I have never used anything but a screwdriver to tighten or loosen the nut on C1 ignition switches. A little care is all that is required.
