    Re: White vinyl cleaning

Thanks Terry. The vinyl is aged, nothing specific on it. It has a dirty appearance that comes from time, a condition that purchased cleaners have not removed. Surface of the vinyl is not damaged, e.g., it is smooth.

Perhaps I'm fighting a losing cause but I am considering making a paste from "Tide" clothes washing powder that includes bleach granules (perhaps add additional bleach) in order to bring back the white.

I was hoping someone who had restored a vinyl interior as opposed to replacing it would have wonder cure!

    Best regards,
    Charlie

    Charlie,

I know you want clean, but I would hesitate using extra bleach. I would be concerned about weakening the cloth stiching. (consider the ratio of bleach / water in the typical laundry load). Not sure how much effect bleach would have on vinyl anyway.

I'd test in a inconspicous location first..
