Please help ID a 427 fuel pump

Thank you for your help. I am trying to ID the following fuel pump. The box is an AC box with a GM #6470106 and an AC #40718. The flange has these numbers 354P and 40730 (ac part number?). I am also trying to ID an ac pump with #40913. These numbers do not show in my 1981 gm vette parts catalog. Anyway, I am also in need of a pump for my 435 horse 67.
Thank you all for any help
    Jon

don't have any Delco books to help you with those part # but the pump you need for the L-71 is a 40482.

I'm going to guess that Joe L. is away from a computer, as he would likely have answered this question in its entirety.

A '67 parts book lists the '67 Corvette fuel pump for 427 as part # 6416741.

'69 parts book lists the '67 Corvette fuel pump for 427 as the same as 68-9 Corvette 427 with Heavy Duty 427 and 68-9 427 Corvette with 3/2BC, part # 6416741. Part number 6416741 is listed as a type 40482, which translates as the DELCO number.

The part number 6470106 does not appear in the October 1 '68 release parts book. It is listed in the Master Parts Book price list effective July 1, '69 ($12 and change).

      The '73 '74 and '75 Corvette parts books all list part # 6470106 as a type 40718 for '68-9 Corvette (4B/C w/H/Per.) (427).

At this time I have not found the 40913 pump.

Thank you. I guess AC 40913 stays a mystry.

          Jon------

I can find no reference for it. It's possible that it's not even a GM-application fuel pump. AC made mechanical fuel pumps for all sorts of other non-GM applications, even aircraft. By the number I'd say that it's about a mid-70s issue. Also, is this number coming off of a BOX or is coming off the stamping on the pump flange? If it's the latter, those numbers are sometimes different from any published number (on a BOX or in a parts CATALOG) and are, esentially, just an internal AC number. If the number is off a BOX, then is there a 7 digit GM part number there, too?

In any event, the fuel pump for a 1967 427 is a GM #6416741 or AC type 40482. This is the same pump as originally used in PRODUCTION for your engine. The current issue pumps don't have the "AC" cast into the top of the pump nor do they have the flange stamping, but they're otherwise the same as original and will SERVICE your application perfectly. None of the current AC-Delco mechanical fuel pumps are manufactured by AC anymore. They haven't manufactured a mechanical fuel pump in years. So, these are units which are produced for AC-Delco by another manufacturer. Like I say, though, their configuration and appearance is pretty much the same as original except for the features noted.
