i am installing an NOS rear emergency brake cable in my '67. The part with the outer casing that goes between the brackets on the trailing arm and those on the frame, is very stiff and hard to pin in place. Has anyone had any experience installing a new cable?

Rob:
They are difficult to fasten to the ears on the trailing arms. My '65 uses "U" style, black oxide spring steel clips. I am almost certain that your '67 should use "Mickey Mouse" style clips. Check out the LICS catalog.

Re: '67 REAR PARKING BRAKE CABLE INSTALLATION
The 67 does indeed have "Mickey Mouse Ears" style clips. Check out your AIM, UPC 5, Sheet C2. After installation of the clips, rotate them so the open end faces in a downward position from horizontal.
Joe Ray is right, it is not easy but when done, it feels GOOD.
