    C3 Convertible Deck Lid

I just had a soft top put on my 1970 convertible. In the middle of the deck lid there is a hole about the size of a nickle. The soft top only attaches at the outer edges of the deck lid. What is the purpose of this hole and what goes in it? A chrome ring or cap? Thanks for the help.

    Don,
There is a small stainless circular piece of trim that trims the opening. It is available in reproduction. The purpose of the hole is to recieve the center stud on the hardtop. There is a press in circular stainless plug that sits in the trim piece to finish the opening when the hardtop is not installed, also available in reproduction. You obviously have a car that was equiped with a hardtop at some point.
