67 H20 TEMP WIRE CLIP SPOT WELDING

I need to have on of the clips that hold the temp wire "spot welded" back on to the valve cover. What type of shop does this type of welding. (I guess I'll start by calling an auto body shop).

Rob: position the clip in its correct location, scribe the outline of the clip on the external face of the valve cover, remove the clip, then drill an 1/8 inch hole thru the valve cover in the center of the scrib-scars, then , from the rocker side of the valve cover, mig-weld the clip in place. anyone with a little Mig-welding experience can do this. This might be the ideal time to talk the wife into allowing you to purchase a mig-welder(under 500 bucks will do just fine). Experiment with ford valve cover before taking a stab at the bowtie covers with your new mig welder.Seriously, i wouldn't be caught dead without a mig. already worn out a Solar(good brand name mig) and half way thru trashing a Snap-on mig.don't know what i'd do without one. use it every day.mike
