was told about an old corvette around lakeland, fl. went out to see it and couldn't believe what someone had done to a piece of history. it's a 1967 coupe with sidepipes that's been in an old shed with no doors so it's exposed to the elements. the paint is either worn down to the fibreglass/primer, or someone at one time was thinking about fixing it up. the tires are flat, the wheels are wrong, the manifold and carburetor are off the engine and some really bad shag carpeting was put in it at some time. however, the license plate on the corvette indicates it was last licensed in 1977. the odometer reads just over 28k. the vin and data plates show: serial # 194377S101945. Style B29/ 67 437 body S0504 paint 983AA. needless to say it's condition is such that only those equipped to handle an extensive restoration should try and buy it. I didn't even try to contact the lady who owns the car as it's beyond my capabilities. I've heard that she has been approached before about selling the corvette and has refused. If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll give you the directions/location.
