    '67 REAR WIRING HARNESS CLIPS

The assembly manual shows several clips centered over the tail lights to hold the rear wiring harness. How were they held in place?

I think that you will find that early stuff, 63, will have them bonded, but 67 will be held by the mounting nuts for the light housings.

I have a 65 and I mounted mine to the tail light housing nuts. Thats the way it looked in the AIM. Mike

            Rob,
I think that Wayne is correct on the mounting of the harness. I just looked at my '65 and found that there are a total of three harness clips across the back.

The center one is secured to one of the license plate light housing mounting screws. The other two (one on each side) are secured to the inner light housing (back-up lights in my case) upper mounting screw by the same speed nut that holds housing in rear panel.

They are shown in the '65 AIM on page E240. Should be somewhere close in the '67 AIM.

            Good luck,
            Gene

              Rob,

Don't listen to me and listen to Wayne. I'm an old fart and have been under more 63's than anything else.

Sorry for the mis-information. Been wrong once today. Glad that's over with for the day.

Thanks, I have the clips and will mount them that way.

Dont be so hard on yourself JR. If I was only wrong once a day, it would be a miracle.
