    '67 TRANSISTER IGNITION WIRING

Other than what's shown in the assembly manual, anyone know where to find a good schematic of exactly how to hook up transister ignition wiring. I am installing new engine compartment and TI harnesses. Crane's Corvettes used to have an excellent website discussing this and problem areas regarding TI, but I can't seem to find his site anymore checking under cranescorvettes.com. Anyone know if he has a new website? (My car originally came with the TI).

Try www.tispecialty.com. Dave F. has reprinted various iterations of the TI hookups and tests found in GM shop manuals and Tech Bulletins of the era.

If you can't find a schematic elsewhere, e-mail me with your address, and I will send you a copy of the schematic I made when I installed the TI from the "12-mile L-88" into my SWC back in '67.

I'm pretty sure I still have it in my files.

the difference between 64 to 65 and 66 to 71

is the polarity of the coil is reversed. that was done to prevent damage to the amp if the leads to the coil were shorted out. i have tried the difference in my amp tester and there is no difference in the coil output.

Yep Clem, here is Daves 64/65 diagram, I pointed to the other since the question was about a 67....Craig
