69 SB (L46) Fuel Vapor Return Line Clamps

What is the correct clamp style for the short rubber hose between the return line and the fuel filter and the rubber return line near the gas tank? This is a Nov 68 build car. The 1969-69 Third Edition NCRS Judging Guide on page 55 Item 14 External Fuel Filter says there should be tower clamps on the short section of rubber return line. However on page 87 for dual-line cars the return hose at both the fuel filter and the tank is secured with small tower clamps in 1968 and orange spring clamp in 1969.

I can tell you this: an original owner, known-original L-46 built in mid-October 1968 had the small, red-clored, spring-type clamps.

Since my post I checked the AIM and it shows part no. 9770783 for all of the clamps (spring type). It appears the Judging Manual needs to be updated.

I suggest you send a message to the team leader (email address on the contacts page of this board) with the build information from your car, and what you found about the clamps. That would be the most effective way of communicating the information.
