    C2 differential vent

Is there supposed to be a gasket or O-ring on the plastic vent that taps into the case?

Also - some of the earlier vents were not plastic but steel. I have several examples of covers with this breather vent. I believe the 67 up changed to plastic, but somewhere in 66 there may have been a transtition. I think this change was at the same time as the cover that ends in 75 for the last two digits of the casting number (seems like it is 1275 or 1375 if I recall for the last 4 digits)...Craig

You're right on; the casting # is 3871375. The car is 63, but the rear is 67.
