1967 Outside Mirror-When Did Bowtie Disappear?

The early 1967 outside door mirror was Bowtie. The late was not. When in the production run did the change take place?

Re: 1967 Outside Mirror-When Did Bowtie Disappear?

Somewheres around January 67. My May 11 built 67 is supposed to have a non bowtie mirror, but it has a bowtie with January 67 glass date. I have wondered if this mirror was original or not, but the glass date matches the window glass dates well....yet the TIM&JG says it is wrong....Craig

      Now for some trivia

I'm amazed at the little nuggets of info one can pick up here.

Now for some trivia - more or less when did the term 'bow-tie' become popularized? And what is it's correct term?

          When did it start?

The side mirror that was on my 60 has the Bowtie emblem. Is that correct?

I thought that they were about thru experimenting and started to build cars. Real Corvettes have 7 bolts holding a valve cover on and vacuum problems galore.
