OK...I know this will sound simple...but I can't figure out how to remove the lock off the glove box door on my 1981. No screws hold it in place like the rear compartments...suggestions?

Daniel, I did this years ago on my '80 that I used to have. You have to take the lock cylinder out, then there is access to tighten the lock down. With the glovebox door down, looking at the lock cylinder, you'll see in one of the "slots" of it little individual silver bars. These little bars have to be pushed in to get the lock out. I do not remember if you have to have the key inserted in the lock to do this. To put it back together, just do this in reverse.
