I need some help on bolt head markings for the bolts that attach the rear cross member to the frame. My bolts were extremely rusted. I think it is RBS or something. I have seen cars use the "M" head mark as a replacement. Does anyone reproduce the correct bolt. I also would like to know what people are using to attach the front A arm to the frame through the nut plate. I have what to appears to be a double circle grade 8 --1 1/2 inch long bolts. What should I for replacement. I could reuse old bolts but I would like to go to a new bolt with the correct headmark.

Re: bolt head markings
Keith,
SBC are typically on the transmission and on the steering box. The M or WB or five line star, grade 8 bolts are typically securing the A arms at the nut plate. The rear cross member thru the donut is usually RBW or M. This does not eliminate other markings. I've only posted my exposures.- Top
