I am in the process of purchasing a 1968 basket case coupe that has been left to the elements under a tarp. The biggest worry I have is the "Bird Cage". One windshield pillar has been barely rough welded, and the other was attempted, and is now completly severed. I fear that the whole bird cage may be gone. I'm not afraid to dig in and do what needs to be done, but not if it's going to cost a bigillion dollars. Are there parts out there other than clips for this type of repair? I would appreciate any type of feed back Either by phone or mail (231, Alpine Meadows Road, Porter Corners New York 12804). Thanks for your feed back. Chuck Rice

Re: 1968 Corvette Bird Cage Replacement
Chuck,
Caledonia Classics in Belding, Michigan makes a LOT of repair pieces for the bird cage. I don't have the # handy, as I haven't unpacked the new catalog yet after getting back from Bloomington, but they advertuse frequently in the magazines.
