What is the correct finish for the alternator pulley and cooling fan on 1970 alternators? Are they both silver cad, or is there gold cad on either?

The cooling fan was zinc or cadmium "silver". All of the original pullies, either the fabricated steel or machined steel varieties, were also zinc or cadmium "silver". It's possible that a few were irridite (gold) overplated. However, I really think that any that you see with this overplate were SERVICE replacements. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
