Where can I purchase the bolts that hold the rear exhaust filler panel to the rear end on a 1970 model? I am getting my car painted and I need these bolts so I can get them painted along with the car. Have not been able to find a place to order them. Thanks

Don I have good news for you. Those bolts are usually not painted, so you have a lot more time to find them. The bad news is, unless you are willing to look in buckets of fasteners at swap meets, I don't have a source for you.
The rear valance was hung on the car with two bolts when the body was painted, but it had to be removed before the body was mated to the chassis for clearance. After body drop it was attached with all the unpainted fasteners.Terry -

It appears that hey sell an eighteen piece filler panel mounting kit for around $5.00 that has the bolts included.
It's an old book, I'm sure the price has risen a tad if they still carry them.

Yea, so if you do it correctly the second bolt hole on each side will have a round spot with no paint, and once installed you may see some unpainted area showing there, but they discarded those two bolts for new ones so they are all unpainted. Now thats getting technical aint it.Comment
