Gary, don't have a '62 AIM and experience is limited to Muncie. Check out the shifter arms and see if they have dual mounting holes (high and low). If so, it's like Bill said, move the connecting rod from the shift lever to the lower hole for short throw and 'play' with what you get.- Top

Gary, I did it on a '58 one time, but you have to make new holes in the arms. This requires either a high quality drill & drill press or access to a toolmaker buddy with an EDM setup in his shop. It works the same as the '64-up setup, but the extra holes aren't provided.- Top
