Just received photos of a nice 'Corvette Order Copy' with a dealer code of 09 495, POP says Queen City Chevrolet in Cincinatti, Ohio. By the way, penciled number on sheet is 12 and serial number of car ends in 013. Do anyone have history of Queen City Chev? What is best action for the paper work? Remove and file, leave it on tank, -?

David: This subject has been discussed before in previous threads, you may want to check, however I will give you my opinion on this. That paper is pretty fragile and over time the ink will fade and not be legible. If you do not have a window sticker or protect o plate as back up documentation, I would definitely remove from tank and place in archival acid free cardstock with protective plastic cover for future preservation. I fear those on this forum who advocate leaving on the tank will probably lose this valuable paperwork over time or future owners of these cars will have wished that someone would have taken steps to preserve it!- Top

Re: 67 Tank Stickers
Agree with Dave 100%. Take the piece of history off the tank, ESPECIALLY if you using the car as a driver. That water soluble glue the good folks at GM used to affix the tank sticker top the tank will soften and the next thing you know, the tank sticker is an interstate memory. not so if is removed and preserved as the previous post suggests.mike- Top
