    C2 C3 plastic screw protectors?

I have looked at some unrestored 68 corvettes and seen little black plastic caps pushed over the small chrome trim screws around the head lights and various places. Anyone know of anybody providing them after market? Thanks in advance, Terry

I have confirmed these on untouched 68 corvettes before. I saw them on a 68/390hp with original paint and a 68 435hp with original paint. They were a hard plastic cover that pushed over the end of the screw to keep you from cuting yourself on the sharp tip of the screw. I guess that is what the intention was. I think they get lost or destroyed when the screws are backed out. There was a corvette person out of the Kansas area that sold them and was aware of them but that was years ago and I think they are out of business. I have seen them on the chrome screws that attach the headlight bezels and on some screws near the rear license plate. Don't trust my menory on this but I believe the two screws that held the rear license plate light had them. Weird but true. Terry
