Shifter ID - got ripped off at the Good Guys

swap meet this weekend - paid $10 for a "just about" dead ringer for a 57-8 BW T-10 shifter; lever is a little thicker than a 57-8 with a diameter of .53" (measured just at the top the partial "U" that everything bolts) tapering down to .48" just below the threads; the whole thing is bolted to ANOTHER bracket whose bottom three holes are supposed to go into the transmission tail itself - the effect of this bracket would be to put the shifter itself ABOVE THE TAIL EXTENSION and move the shifter 3" towards the center of the transmission. Any ideas? Buick? Pontiac? Olds? Studebaker? I know, a picture would be good - let's not get into computer illiteracy again.....

You mean to tell me the Good Guys ripped off the Good Attny? Don't know what its application is, but Campbell Ewald could use it to stir a bucket of oatmeal. mike

AC Spark plug had their hand in many

places - they made one of the ends on the 59-61 FI tach cable.

The AC in AC Spark Plug stood for Albert Champion, the same Champion as in Champion Spark Plug. How's that for trivia.

More trivia - what famous auto racer (early 1900's) physically beat Mr. Champion (badly) during a disagreement?

Hint - It wasn't Barney Oldfield
