What are the differences in 1969 3927186 heads?

I need to replace the heads on my wife's 1969 L-46 with the correct 3927186 heads. I find a lot of these heads off Camaros for sale. Are all 2.02/1.60 3927186 heads the same? If not, how do you tell the difference?

All 2.02/1.60 valve size GM casting #3927186 heads are the same (except for "dates", of course). However, not all GM casting #3927186 heads have 2.02/1.60 valve size. Many were made with 1.94/1.50 valve size. Externally, when the heads are mounted on an engine, you can't tell the difference between the "large" and "small" valve '186' heads. However, when you're shopping for a set of heads, as you are, which are off the engine, it's easy to tell the difference-----just measure the size of the valve heads.
