I plan on replacing the red carpet in my 58. A friend suggested Al Knoch products. I want an original look but judging not an issue. Cost,as always, is an issue and I don't want to spend money on 100%correct carpet if I don't have to. Fit and quality are important however and a minimal hassle install is key. Any suggestions please email me personally. Also a recommendation regarding adhesive. Brand/type/spray vs brush/how much will I need? I plan on installing the sound deadener and heat sheild underlayment. Any install tips also appreciated. Thanks, Ken

Kenneth - "Fit and quality are important, but you don't want to spend the money" You need to make up your mind what you want. I'd suggest Knock or Auto Custom Carpets. Buy the right stuff. It is not that expensive in the big scheme of things. I would not use insulation on the central 3 pieces. Use 3M spray adhesive. Otherwise fit will suffer considerably. Use insulation on 2 floor pieces with no glue, but use appropriate screws. Best, Dennis- Top
