is there supposed to body color overspray anywhere in the engine compartment frame or wheel wells?

Bob - Typically, you should not see any body color overspray on the frame. The engine compartment would show body color, but, when engine compartment blackout was applied, it would be "over colored". In other words, if you strip the engine compartment paint, you would first see black out, then body color, then primer, then raw fiberglass. Wheels wells are going to show a little primer, then a little body color, then blackout. Best, Dennis
