    63 front stabilizer bar bushings

The stabilizer bar is .75" diameter. The diameter of the holes in the new bushings (from LIC) are .6". When I place the bushings on the rod, there is a large gap. Is this by design, or do I have the wrong bushings?

    Steve------

By "large gap" I assume that you mean a large gap at the slit in the bushings---if the bar is 0.75" (which it should be) and the holes are 0.60", then there should be no gap with respect to the holes in the bushing and the rod. In any event, when you install the bushing retainers and "pull them down" to the frame rails with the 2 mounting bolts for each retainer, everything will "tighten up" and be as it should.

Thanks. Yes, the gap was at the slit. I learned by discovery that all is compressed when the bolts are tightened.
