Is it possible to repair/replace he broken brass connector on the horn, it looks like a rivet was holding the connector in place!

Re: 64 coupe horns
Yes, those who provide horn restoration services do this as part of their package. But, it requires the two halves of the horn's case or 'nautilus' be separated (rivets) to gain access to the inside. Once the horn case is separated residual stress typically results in immediate strain causing the case halves to no longer be flat, flush, true....
The pro restorers bake the castings to strain relieve them and mill 'em to regain a flat/true profile before continuing with the process of replacing inner components, tuning the replacement diaphram (on-key pitch), and reassembling the horn.
The service isn't cheap because it's labor intensive. You should find restoration services listed in the Services section of the NCRS Driveline magazine plus several have reported their experiences (with restorer contact info) that you can find by searching the archieves.- Top

Re: 64 coupe horns
Bob,
The brass connector on the horn of my 1964 coupe broke off too. I found the other piece of the connector still inside the plasic connector on the wire. Using a small butane micro-torch and some pipe solder I was able to successfully solder the "broken" end of the brass connector to the "riveted" section on the horn. To my amazement, the horn actually works fine now and the repair is not all that noticeable once the horn is on the car.
I would rate my soldering skills "poor to fair", so give it a shot. I bought the micro torch at Home Depot for about $30 and they are really handy.
