Battery Tray Removal.....65' 327

I want to remove and clean up my battery tray in my 65' 327, no AC, coupe.
I am hoping it can come out by removing the expansion tank and lifting it out through the top (hood opening.)
I have side pipes so taking it out through the bottom sees a bit more work.
Has anyone removed theirs ?? Would like advice before I start.

Just remove the battery. Remove the dust shield below. Unbolt the tray from frame and remove. It comes out the bottom easy. I hope this helps. Be sure to wash in down a few times with baking soda.
