engine compartment/frame

is the paint on the frame the same degree of gloss as the black out paint in the engine compartment and wheel wells if not is the frame in the engine compartment.
is POR-15 chasis black the appropriate color for the frame and/or blackout for the engine compartment

I wouldn't use POR-15 on anything - it's hard as a rock, impossible to remove, and isn't UV-stable. Underhood blackout was an "eggshell" gloss cheap black lacquer.

I agree with John's comment on the POR-15, I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. My 67 frame and suspension were covered with POR-15 when I bought it. It looked like crap and was an absolute bitch to get off. I ended up replacing most of the small pieces, some of the bigger pieces had to be baked to get it off. I heard they make a stripper for it now but it doesn't matter, I run away fast from it now.

Quanta sells the ready-to-spray frame paint. Eastwood has the eggshell black lacquer for the engine compartment but JDBB works well also. You can get your local PPG or Dupont paint store to mix up just about anything you want.

I used PPG DP-90 catalyzed primer and top coated with PPG catalyzed enamel with flattening agent to a semi gloss finish. I was very happy with the results on my 65.
