    Bob-----

The original camshaft used for your application was GM #3733431. This camshaft is identified by the casting number 3732798. This camshaft was discontinued a LONG time ago and replaced by the GM #3896929. I don't know if the 3733431 is reproduced, or not. However, the 3896929 is definitely reproduced. It's known as the "300 hp" cam since it was used on a lot of Chevrolet 327 and 350 engines with a rated horsepower of 300 (and, actually, a lot of other ratings, too).

The 3896929 cam is a little "hotter" than the 3733431, but it will produce a similar idle and engine sound. This cam was a favorite of our dearly departed friend, Dale Pearman.
