    4 speed Muncie fluid capacity.

Is there a method to fully drain the transmission fluid? When refilling, how much fluid will be required. Thanks.

    Rick,

Assuming that you do not have a drain plug on your trans, here is how I drain the fluid with the transmission in the car.

    - Using a Mity Vac with a fluid transfer kit, remove the filler plug and extract all of the old fluid out. Jacking up the side of the car opposite of the filler plug will assist in removing all of the old fluid.

    - Level the vehicle and again using the Mity Vac, pump the new GL-5 gear oil into the trans until the level is just below the filler plug hole. Check by inserting your finger into the hole. I am not sure of the exact oil capacity.

Put some anti sieze on the filler plug before you install it.
