i need a new ballast resister for my 66 327, can i get this at an auto parts store or chevy dealer or do i need to order it from an after market vette dealer, thanks joe

just bought one from Long Island last week, think it was $15.00. Pretty close to the original, in fact the ceramic portion of the resistor and the terminals seemed identical. The bracket or band for mounting it is a little different and doesn't have the tab on the side.
The originals also pop up on ebabe occasionally, saw one the other day for $25.00.

if your 66 is a driver, go to napa etc. if its to be judged, Long Island is close . otherwise, go to a regional and ask ray Morrison to show you what the 100% correct ballast resistor should look like. good luck, mikeComment
