1961 voltage regulator

I have a problem with my battery discharging on my 1961.I did a test that indicated that voltage regulator was the problem.I replace it, the problem disappear, but after I drove the car for about an hour the amp meter was showing a discharge again. What should I try next?

How about a visit....

to a competent automotive electric shop where they can 'splice' real time diagnostic equipment on and monitor/report who's (v-reg, generator, battery) doing what/when?
