C1 1959 Corvette

I'm restoring my 1959 Corvette rims and I have two questions:

The black paint, is it flat black or semi gloss black?

The wheel weights used for balancing the tire and rim. Are the weights supposed to be on the inside of the rim only?

Perry - I need to back up for a moment. When I say "Semi" on the wheels, that would refer to the dip painted primer that all wheels were subjected to prior to any additional enamal application of (gloss) enamel paint applied to the exterior surface of the wheel. That changed from year to year. I recall 58 wheels were all silver. I get confused in the 59 - 60 years. Often, it depended on the exterior color and whether or not the car had W/W tires or not. You really need to check the Judging Guide for your particular year and how equipped, tire wise. If you become overwhelmed, mag wheels are OK... Dennis
