I replaced all my front bumper brackets with Paragon pieces and somethin' ain't right. My main question relates to how far forward the front bumpers should be.
Where the Paragon bracket comes out the hole between the grill and "eyebrows," the front of the bracket (where there is a hole for the bolt to go through into the bumper) is pretty much flush with, if not slightly ahead the red painted body above and below this hole.
So when I attach the bumper, the 3" wide notch at the top of the bumper is about 1/2" behind the red part of the body (between the grill and eyebrows).
In the eyebrow area, there is about 1 1/8" between the bumper and the black between the upper and lower eyebrows. In other words, straight back from the bumper to that flat black oval area is a little over an inch.
It seems, to my newbie eye, that the bumper is too far forward. If anyone with a C1 and a tape measure could tell me what their bumpers measure out at, I would really appreciate it. Thanks as always!
