'62 Fuelly on the web, anything look amiss?

I know this isn't a typical post, but I'd appreciate any feedback from you knowledgeable solid axle guys. A person on another Corvette discussion board is considering buying this car without having it evaluated by an experienced NCRS type. I strongly suggested that it be properly inspected to guarantee that it is indeed as represented, to no avail. So, to ease my mind I thought I'd ask for opinions here.

Please check the link and comment if you desire.

This car has been for sale a couple of times without selling. Seems strange that it wouldn't sell if it was what it is advertised as. I always thought 62 rear ends had NO drain plug, at least according to Alan Colvin in Chevrolet by the Numbers. I'm sure some of the more knowledgeable people on this site can find other things wrong with this car.

No too many pictures of any important details, but exhaust pipe outlets are not configured correctly, Radio looks to be earlier model, judging from the appearance of straight ends on the pushbuttons rather than curved ends.

If anyone sees anything significant wrong with the car, you might want to go to the Corvette Forum website and reply to the thread included here. Someone is planning on buying the car direct from the Owner since it didn't hit the reserve.

Terry - The Judging manual indicates that early 62's (up to approx S/N 1800) did have the drain plug. Some judges may let it slide a little later than that. Still not an exact cut-off point. Hard to see from the picture the presence of the posi vent tube. I think also the grille is upside down (wide gap visible). Small items for sure, but don't play with an "untouched car". Most amused with the sales pitch of the seller. Pretty aggresive! Regards
