On the driver's side inner fender is the horn relay in my '58. The wire terminals are toward the engine. The red wire is in the middle, but is the tan or black wire toward the front? Thanks!

Mike, on my car the tan is toward the front, or on the right side as you face the relay. The tan is the ground and the black goes to the horns. Red is hot lead as you probably already know. -

Delco made it simple.... Look at the cover and you'll see stamped annotations 'S' and 'H' which are 'doubled' so they point to the correct terminals regardless of the orientation of the cover's installation on the relay base. S= 'switch' and H= 'horn'....Comment

Hey, that's pretty cool!
I knew from the wiring diagram that I'd connect tan to S and black to H, but the cover has both S and H on both sides, so I was confused. Not until you explained it, do I see why. Pretty clever!
