    Fastener markings

3 marks on a bolt head indicates Grade 5. If a small triangle also appears on the head, does this signify anything, or is it just a manufacturer's mark?

    Steve-----

The "triangle" bolt head marking is the fastner manufacturer's identification mark. This is a VERY common headmarking for later GM SERVICE bolts as well as bolts available in many hardware stores.
