our 57 250 hp 210 post, whose engine i removed and disassembled(it had never been apart) contains M logo'd head bolts(the exposed one-- i din't pull valve covers to inspect the longer head bolts).Perhaps YOU should scour the Lyle junkyards for CC logo'd head bolts. believe the abreviation stands for cheaters choke. mikie

If you want a serious answer as to what the M means:
Depending of the shape of the M - pointed top M is Michigan Screw Products Company, or Midland Screw Corporation, both had the same logo. Rounded top - like a lower case m is Mac-it Parts Company.
Now the real question is what good does the information do?
