    Fuel Pump Seeping (seaping?)

I have noticed, every so often, that the lower gasket on my fuel pump (the one at the bottom of the bowel, not the gasket that joins the top and bottom halves of the pump) sometimes appears moist, like gas has just begun to seep through from the bowel. It doesn't drip, it just gets a bit moist. Is this common?

It is not "acceptably" common. I experienced a "restored" fuel pump with an inadaquate diameter "lower" diaphragm. It leaked - right on the exhaust head pipe. I can't offer a magical answer, but I'd get it fixed before I drove the car more than a few miles, if at all. Dennis
