    Delco Remy Horns Question

Can someone please help! I have two horns which I don't know what they are for: 9000 257 and 9000 028. Also which one is the high note?

    Typically...

high and low tones had the same "bell", but the "trumpet" of the high was shorter. This means the "coil" of the high horn does not cover the whole side, while the low does. I recently spotted a car having two low horns this way, without even needing to check the numbers.

      Re: Horn numbers

      Ralph,
Hopefully someone identify the horn applications from the numbers that you posted. One thing that I think we can say is that the horns are NOT from a Corvette.

Information for Corvette horns is found in the NCRS 1953-1967 Specifications Guide (page 81). 9000 series horns began in 1957, but the numbers that you posted are not listed in the table as Corvette.

      Good luck,
      Gene
